Safety
Safety is always a critical focus for Contego Systems, and our track record speaks for itself. We do not take lightly the importance of both the people and assets placed under our care. From the safety of the passengers, to our fellow airport employees, to our own staff, ensuring the safety and security of those involved is tantamount to any other goal. Additionally, ensuring aircraft and equipment are not damaged is a vital point of our operations.

In support of this goal, Contego Systems and parent company Group One have a Safety Committee. This committee meets regularly and is comprised of staff and ownership who review procedures, policies, training and documentation to ensure we provide the highest level of safety. Contego Systems also maintains its own proprietary Safety Manual which outlines the policies and procedures for our operations.

Simulator Training

Just like pilots who train to fly various aircraft before actually flying passengers, Contego Systems trains its De-icing operators with high technology simulators. Not only do simulators offer realistic training, but at a fraction of the cost of operating the actual equipment. Simulators not only assist with training but also reduce maintenance, emissions and save the environment as fuel and glycol are not required. Further, just like pilots, operators are required to train on and off season to maintain operator proficiency.

Equipment Storage

Contego goes above and beyond the norm even in the summer. We take great care to properly store our deicing equipment during the summer months, including the use of a full-size shrink wrap to keep the equipment clean and secure. This added effort on our part ensures our deicing equipment remains in like-new condition, and along with our diligent approach to maintenance, helps our equipment last longer. Our focus on equipment care and maintenance allows us to extend the cost saving we realize to our valued customers.
